Plastic repair..What to use?!?! Help!

Plastic repair..What to use?!?! Help! Problem..
The passenger side recliner handle for the bucket seat is broken (If i find out who did it they will die <img border="0" title="" alt="[Mad]" src="gr_images/icons/mad.gif" /> )
Its broken at the top of the loop.
I was at pep boooyz and picked up a Plastic Welding System. Made by VersaChem
It claims 3500psi of strength..bonds abs, acrylic ceramic, fiberglass,pvc, PLASTIC among other things.
BUT on the back it states:
DOES NOT WORK ON PLYETHYLENE OR POLYPROPYLENE PLASTICS.
Will this stuff work???
If not..what 'stuff' should I use??
Has anyone done any repair work on these hardened plastic pieces?
Sidenote:
The car is still under warranty..but I dont know if it would be covered...
The plastic piece itself is riveted in so a simply swap is impossible.

to buy a new one, nothing worse than getting in your new fancy car and seeing that friggin defect, they won't be that expensive and it'll allow you to swap something out (I like changing little things that improve the cars appereance to me).
