Re: Installing a tach on an 00SS look under the passenger side dash. there is a plastic plate type thing under the glove box that goes to the fire wall. when you take the PCM out there is a group of wire that runs threw the fire wall right under the PCM. you can run it threw that gromet with those wires. the wire are close to the door side. it help to have 2 people one pull on the wires and other watch for them to move. i did this on a 98 Z28 just a couple of days ago. it is a pain but it is worth it.

Re: Installing a tach on an 00SS Definately is a pain, especially removing and putting the PCM back in. I just poked a new hole in the rubber grommet and fed the green wire through into the glove box.
