New member, and quick Q 1st I'd like to say HI to everyone, I've been readin on this board for about a month and finally registered <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> . But I have a Q that is pretty important to me so hopefully you guys can help.
When I get my 99-01 camaro z28 or SS I plan on getting a set of 18 incher boyd coddington rims. I just have a few questions about them:
1) Do I have to worry about them bending if I were to nail a average size pothole? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" />
2) I read they are made of billet, how strong is this and will it fade?
3) Will I have to worry about any type of corrosion from these chrome or billet rims?
Also since I live in IL I plan on takin them off before every winter and puttin on the stockers. Its coming very close to me actually getting my camaro so <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> ... and possibly this month if I get my new job.

Re: New member, and quick Q I have Boyd's Timeless 5's on my SS w/ no problems. I haven't had one bend from an "average size" pothole. They also won't fade or corrode so long as you take care of them, like any wheel. They'll look killer!

Re: New member, and quick Q I have never seen anyone bend a 18" billet rim around Chicago (that I knew).
