It looks incredible...I am really jealous of how clean it is. The idiot first owner of my car had it undercoated at the dealer and ruined the underside of the car. I think I could get it off and cleaned up but I am going to wait until I get a lift.
Is that a Corsa exhaust? Did you polish it or have it chromed...its hard to tell in the pics...if its just polished it looks INCREDIBLE! I have to do that to mine!

I do have Corsa exhaust, I have buffed the stainless out to get er to shine, lots of hours on it for sure to get er to shine like that.

Nice job there on the polishing, now comes the fun part, you'll fine yourself crawling up under there, and taking off the wheels quite often to wipe everything down. Its pretty easy to maintain, just stay away from driving when its wet out.
Try buffing the your rotors too with some white rouge, they come out really nice for shows.

Get the metal or aluminum part as smooth as possible with sanding, then use a tripoli compound followed up with some white rouge compound, you'll need a buffing wheel that at least spins at 3600rmp to heat up the compound, the results are a mirror like finish.

It takes time to appreciate the extent to which you guys have gone to ensure that your undercarriages are pristine. I don't think the most scrutinizing judge could take points off either ride!
Both vehicles have undercarriages that are cleaner than mine was new! Way to go guys, I hope to one day clean up mine half as well as you both have yours

Depends on the how the piece is your polishing, if there's alot of pitting, i would use something in the 300 range, and up from there, to get it really smooth you will need to use a fine grit in the 1500-2000, once its totally smooth, then start buffing. The rotation of the buffing wheel at 3600rmp or more will heat up the compound, and thats where the magic happens. I'll see if i can dig up some before and after shots, i sanded off every piece of rust i could find under my car, especially the axles, and used por15 in a black gloss, and no more rust since then. replaced all my suspension, polished everything else. Not hard to do, just time consuming.
