Re: What do you think of this dashplate?
Okay, I'm working with www.afterthoughtsauto.com to get a GP going very soon. We'll collect orders for a couple weeks and then go into the production so they can all be done at the same time. Price TBD, so stay tuned. They'll be available in the factory specs for '98+ LS1 cars with or without the SLP Y2Y options. We'll also try to make it possible to get your own custom specs, but in the interest of honesty, we'll ask that HP/TQ numbers be proven with a dyno sheet. That'll keep the BS'ers in their place and make these dashplates a true representation of the vehicle that displays it.
This week I'll start spreading the word on other boards too and come up with something for the T/A guys and gals, possibly just the plate without a logo (smaller) so you can put it anywhere you like. Sound good?

Re: What do you think of this dashplate?
Us guys and gals with T/A's could put one of these plaques over the ugly looking SRS indention in the dash on the passenger side of the car.... It could also be placed above the a/c vents (a wedged spacer or something could be placed between the piece and the dash to make it sit upright to be seen) Those are a few ideas.... I like the plaque but I agree with Jsears that cubic inches look better than liters. Keep me updated!

Re: What do you think of this dashplate?
Well let's face it, the days of cubes are gone. all cars are referred to in liters so that part will remain unchanged. I'll consider adding "V8" to the '5.7 LITER LS1' section. It fills it in nicely.
Can someone with a T/A give me a dimension of the 'SRS' on the dash? I just need to know the overall size of the indention that you want to cover. I'll see if I can come up with something.

Mark, If Deanne was able to do "custom" engraving, would you consider putting SLP's
build number in place of the comp. ratio?

Deanne isn't making them. She's taking the orders for me.
I really need to keep the same design throughout to keep the cost down.

Here's what the Z28 version will look like. Don't pay any attention to the HP and TQ numbers, I used the other image to make this. I also changed the lower left quadrant to read, "5.7 LITER LS1 V8" to fill it in a bit better.

Here's the pontiac version. You can put it wherever you want. You'd just select the correct numbers for your vehicle type and year.

Available soon at www.afterthoughtsauto.com !

Looking good Mark.. 330/345 is pretty close to my rear wheel numbers.. lol..
Sign me up.. Have you looked into what it would cost to license the trade marked stuff from GM.. I only ask because I can see you selling a TON of these.. especially to the Z28 and firebird people that have NO options at the current time.. Heck, id buy 2 or 3 .. one for now and a couple for my goal of 400 rwhp

How 'bout a logo for the Pontiac version
...Maybe "FIREBIRD" or "FIREHAWK" where the CAMARO lettering is and "WS.6" or "WU.6" where the "Z-28" or "SS" is.
Just a thought
The way the Pontiac plate currently looks (neat - but kinda generic compared to the Chevy ones), I think I will put one someplace on or around my airlid in the engine compartment
Peace out,
-Bradster

The FRC decals will be available there soon as well. They are design to spruce up the blank aftermarket or carbon fiber fuel rail covers. Here's what they look like: http://www.hoodscoop.com/ubb/ultimat...c;f=1;t=015838
I also do the Z06 style instrument cluster.

Re: What do you think of this dashplate?
Gimme gimme gimme! Another possible option is to leave the HP and torque blank, and provide number transfers. That would be really cool.

Re: What do you think of this dashplate?
Will this be avialable later too? I don't have my new motor in the car or any dyno time so I have no idea what type of horsepower I will put down. I want one for sure though.
Thanks,
Derek
