VHT help So I recently decided to black out my tail lights using VHT night shade. I am pleased with the results however it came out darker than I was hoping and it's also not as glossy/shiny as I wanted. I've seen many people who used it and it has a very glossy look. I was going for more of a dark smoked look but I guess I held the can a little too close when I was spraying. I sprayed one coat on and let it dry for an hour or two and it had a smoked glossy look. Then I sprayed another coat on and it got really dark and not as glossy. What do I need for it to look like that? And is there any way I could get it to not look as dark? Here's a few pics, lighting is not the best so it looks a little darker than it actually is.

After you spray with the VHT, you can wet-sand it with 1500-2000 grit. That will further smooth the VHT, and prep the surface for the clearcoat. To get that super glossy look, spray on the clear in THICK coats. That will cause the clear to dry in a pooled, even state. Once done, you can either use Meguiars Scratch-X by hand to smooth out the clear, or an orbital buffer for better results.
