Default A-pillar guage pod question

is there a guage pod that actually REPLACES the oem piece, instead of being screwed into it? i'd like to put a couple or 3 guages in my car, don't want to lose existing factory cubby hole, don't want to block/remove HVAC vents, and want everything to look as OEM as possible without having to put a hole in something or ruining an OE part. is there such a thing?

.....and did i search? yes.

i was wondering the same thing and i don't think there is you can but an extra a-pillar from someone parting there car out and then get a 3 gauge pod and splice them togather to make it a full pillar gauge pod thats what im going to end up doing. Then keep you stock one if you ever want to get rid of the gauges for some reason

that's pretty much the plan as of now, but if there is such a thing as a total replacement piece, i'll go that route

6LE also has one that instead of getting rid of the AC vent all together, has slots to allow air threw. You could also us a Mustang gauge pod and mount it on the top of the dash in the center. Theres a couple threads about it somewhere around here. I posted a picture of mine in one of them.

You would have to mold and aftermarket gauge pod to the factory piller to make it look good. Thats what im in the middle of right now. Then ill paint it to match with a SEM interior paint

how do you get the texture of the abs after you mold the pod in? cuz wont the part you didn't touch have the abs look and the part you molded be smooth.
