Stainless Hoses

I was thinking of replacing all of my hoses with the stainless hoses and fitings like alot of the true drag racers have. Does anyone have any pics of these hoses on an LS1. I hope you understand what kind of hoses I am talking about. They have the braided stainless mesh around the hose and they have blue and red fittings. Thanks.

Good idea.. hard to do on our cars though.. here is why..
To use actuall AN type braided hose on end of the AN fitting has to be attached to the car (for example to the radiator) since so many parts of our cars are plasic this dosent work.. Im no saying it cant be done but its VERY difficult..
I wanted Braided fuel lines.. lol... the fittings are non-standard and PLASTIC.. difficult to remove and the shop was unsure how to attach the plastic fittings to the braided line even if they got the fittings off.. Vette fuel lines are braided.. I wonder if the dual fuel line setup used on a 98 vette would work on our cars???
Another problem was a couple hoses changed diameter from one end to the other.. They (GM) dont make anything easy..
I think if I had the motor out of the car I could rig up something to work with true AN fittings.
What did was to replace all my hose clamps with Earls Slipfit ends.. I ones i used are chrome (come in different finishes) Like Chris said they are basicly VERY fancy screw drive hose clamps.. if you position them right it comes out VERY nice.. and a tiny fraction of the cost of AN fittings.. Even with the black factory hose its a huge improvent in apperance.. plus I hated working with those damn GM pinch clamps..
Oh, another problem with braided line is that it is great for straight lines or gentle curves but you cant really shape it.. You will notice many of our hoses are specificly shaped to route our lines correctly.. braided line simply wont do this.. You could use braided slip covers but it never really looks the same.. the best product ive found for us is a product called CoolFlex .. its sort of a corregated copper "hose" can be cut to length and bent into any shape.. they also have nice hose ends for it.. this stuff is EXPENSIVE but would look beautiful as a replacement for say the radiator hoses.. and it lasts forever.. (even braided hose has a "life")
I had all teflon lined braided hoses with true AN fittings on my 67 but I couldnt find a way to reasonably duplicate it on my 2000 SS..
