Hmm. I don't think it would fit in the center console, but I'm not sure.

What I would see working is using one of the receivers with the LCD screen (Kenwood/Alpine both make nice models) and then running a GC into it. However, where you put it is a good question...and have you thought about if your games would skip while you drive? (when your passenger plays of course )

It is definetly an interesting idea, I would like to see how it turns out.

Ya, now that I've measured..if I cut the center console up,I think it would be BARELY too small As for my monitor, I've got the Pioneer head unit with the pop out screen. (it plays DVD movies too ) but I just cant figure a cool place for the Game cube... the skipping factor is a good thought, I didnt think of that, But I have seen people with PS2's in there car, and I think the Gamecube is more stable than the PS2. well, maybe I'll try some ideas with the glove compartment... If I get this done I will post pics

I am going to try and gut out the glove box and put a DVD player(small like Blaunkrupt), nitrous switches, and other little gismos and gadgets in there. I think I can fit it all in there...... I might be a while getting this done since I will probably get my performance up first.

I have a DVD player in my car:

And a windshield mounted monitor:

It's easy to add a gaming system and extra screens to this setup too..plus everything removes in seconds. I wouldn't make the GameCube a permanent addition, i'd have a sturdy spot for it in the car, and then easy to take it out.

Ya, your probably right, Ill prob. just make it easily removable, (then I wont have to buy 2 ) as for the power supply what would one suggest, getting a DC to AC adapter (which are kind of big aren't they) or can you buy a converter specialy for the GameCube... anyone know??

Josh, the install was painless. My friend did it and i helped out a little. Didn't take long at all. The screen is mounted to the windshield on a radar detector mount from Radio Shack. It's a Mobile TV FD2680. The DVD player is expensive though. Top of the line Sony and the smallest in the world almost. Same dimensions as a DVD case. Its model number is DVP-F5. They should be easier to find now. All the stuff like the FM modulator and the video out box for the tv are small and mount inside the dash. I can have the TV and player removed faster than you can fart n smell it. Just a lil brain power and the will to try somethin no one else has done, and you can accomplish stuff like this. Makes road trips a lil more entertaining.

Default Game Cube in my car

Hey, im setting up a audio video setup in my car, and was wondering if anyone here has a game cube installed in there car, (or if anyone even has a video setup) If so, Let me know where you installed the game cube, and any pics if you got 'em... any one else with any other systems pics are welcome too, I'd like to get some ideas with this. I was thinking of fabricating (cutting up the plactic ) in the center console that flips up, I think the Game cube would squeeze right in there... but maybe not any ideas welcome!!!

Cool man I have been thinking and thinking and thinking a little bit more about where I could put a monitor and you gave me the solution!!! BTW what kind of head unit do you have in your car?? I have a Pioneer 9200(not yet installed)I am trying to figure out what combination I would like to run(speakers/amps) I haven't figured it out yet... I have a 12 sub box that was custom made for my car. I need to figure out what speakers etc. etc.

I have 2 12" JL W6's they are very big, I also have my amp under a plexiglass window in my trunk, well, nevermind I cant explain it I will post pics as soon as I figure out how? "The guy in my" if that DVD player is very expensive, you might want to look at buying a pioneer DVD player, it holds more than one disc, and you will be able to control it with your head unit (pioneer 9200R?) as long as it has the "IP-Bus" feature. the model number for the multi DVD player is XDV-P9 though this is rather expensive

Do you know where on I could find any information this radio?? like what it is comatible with and other stuff?? I have been thinking about it this week and I want to have it installed this week or next.

www.pioneerelectronics.com, will have all the info you need on it, to find that paticular model, you will need to find the "older models" link, (since it is a little older than brand new models) If you have an "IP Bus" compatible headunit, (which yours is) you can pretty much control any other pioneer component. If you have any questions, you can ask me, I pretty much am very familiar with audio/video setups, especially with Pionner stuff. I do my own installs, at semi-professional level and am doing a huge install on my car on Friday, (DVD pop out screeen head-unit, TV tuner, Audio surround reciever)... the whole works. I will post pics when I get it all done.

Got a question... I dont jack about the radio stuff but can you still leave the factory radio and hook up something like the Mctullis guy does only have a PS2 instead of a regualer dvd player. I dont want to change out the regular radio set cause I really like my steering wheel controls

you can do that, actually very easily, all you need is to install just a monitor somewhere (like on the windshield like mctullis) a monitor like pioneers "AVD-W8000" although this is a rather expensive one then just make the inputs come from the PS2, as opposed to from the deck, tv tuner, dvd player etc. the Headunit does not even have to be involved i hated taking my stock unit out too, it looked so smooth
