Default questions about painting engine parts...

hey all, i got a quick question. does painting engine parts (intake, valve covers, fuel rails, etc...) cause the parts to retain more heat? ill be doing heads and cam next summer, and i thought it would be cool to add a little color to the engine bay, but i dont want to hurt performance at all. any thoughts? also, what kind/brand paints are you guys using? thanks for the help!

I used Dupli Colors 500* Engine Enamel. Great to work with and looks

Performance losses . . . that is a stretch. Do certain colors retain more heat - I could possibly see that.

Go for it!
