Default Have a question about reading the paint code on my car

Hey guys, I am having a spoiler painted and was asked to get the paint code. It is a 2002 Camaro Z28 Medium Red Metallic I believe is what it's called. I got on a website called paint scratch and it said that the paint code was.... 44/WA408G.... Then, I looked on the RPO code list to confirm, and I found the label 44U, which I thought was the paint code, but then on the bottom I found this printed BC/CC U 408G Now I know that BC usually stands for Base Coat and CC is Clear Coat. So i was wondering what the paint code actually is. Is it 44U, ir is it 408G?

Thanks guys

The colour code itself will be the 44U. That stands for MRM. However, there are differences between model years and batches and that kind of thing. Even though the colour is the same there may be subtle differences. That is why the WA # is important. It will give the exact match to what is on your car. In my case, NBM has two possible WA #'s for the same colour. U 352 E and U 353 E. All your body shop should need is the WA #.
