vht headlights?
vht headlights? so i have a 1997 z28, and i'm wanting to smoke the headlights.
not black outs, but a slight smoked look, but the bulbs on 97's are glass, and i don't know if the vht would stay whenever they get hot?

I'd bet you'd get a citation for doin' that, ...
If you use something removable, such as the covers, you might get away with it.
But if you choose the VHT route, I'd just do a quick rough-up with some 800-1500grit sandpaper. If it doesn't work, what are ya gonna do anyway?!? Get new lights?

i'm not worried about ciatations, lol.
i'm not looking for a black out, i'm looking for a slight tint.
like where you can barely tell they've been tinted.
and i don't want any ugly *** lt1 covers.
i'm not concerned with how to do it, i know it can be done.
i have some vht, and i've already blacked out my tails, markers, 3rd brake light, and front blinkers.
i'm only concerned with weather the vht will stay on the glass headlamps without flaking off or melting from the heat of the halogen light bulb?

yes, i know what i want, obviously.
the hold up is that i don't want to end up having to replace four perfectly good headlights in a few days because the vht melted or flaked off because of the heat.
so, that would be my question that is still unanswered.

Verdad Gallardo Spray some VHT on some glass let it dry. Then take a hair dryer to the backside of the glass and get it good and hot, see what happens. Or buy a cheapo sealed beam headlight bulb, spray it, then hook it up to a power source overnight and see what happens.
