SLP Customer Appreciation Day SUCKED!!!
I went to SLP customer appreciation day on Saturday in Englishtown NJ, and it really sucked!!! There was not that many nice cars. There was so many cheeseeeee cars with strobe lights and 20" over bling chrome wheels.
I tried to watch the races but the announcers from SLP and the track were so annoying trying to sell everything from Pizza & Hamburgers to SLP parts. They didn't stop over and over again saying the same thing. Enough is enough. I didn't want to race my car. If you were racing it had to suck, there was about 400 cars. They let allot of stupid cars race like a bone stock S10 and a huge new Dually. I was falling asleep at the 19 & 20 second 1/4 mile times. What a waste of an 2 1/2 hour drive. They told you it would end at 5PM and at 5PM they told you it would end at 7PM. They had a drawing for free stuff but you had to wait until the end to hear the drawing. The only good thing I wanted to see was the burn-out contest and that wasn't until after the drawing. I had a long drive back so I had to leave at 5PM. In New Jersey the signs suck and I didn't want to get lost on the way home in the dark. Then to insult us GM owners they had SLP Mustangs on display. Who gives a **** about some POS Ford. Obviously we didn't come to see them. Anyway I just thought I would share so other people don't waste their time next year if(and a big if) SLP is still in business.

I also went, Not to race or watch, GMHTP did a shoot on my car, and while I was waiting I stopped to watch for a little while. The fastest cars i saw did the corvet shootout, Not many fast F-bods, I saw a few going 15's!!!!!
I also agree about the Mustangs, WHY THE HELL IS THAT??????
I also think slp is running on a name now, and for a while. And f-body stuff is going down hill because of the last production.
over all I was not impresses.

the one in orlando was nice, but you had to stay to win
which sucked,
i won a g-tech, but left, (100 degree heat, and girlfriend with me..)
so i did not get it.

Funny how they are leaving the LS1 world but they can still put something together to get more money from us and sport the Mustangs while their at it.
I was at Orlando and won a fender cover. I had fun, less the heat. If it happens next time I am running the Z. There is a reason for all the marketing so the event could be free.
