trans temp gauge

trans temp gauge I have a trans temp gauge and I was wondering how do I hook it up? They are electonical gauges so I thought they would be pretty easy. I don't know where to start.

Re: trans temp gauge Mine was fairly easy to do, I just mounted the sensor where the drain plug was previously. I think I have heard of people actually drilling/tapping a new hole for them though, to get better fluid flow over the sensor, and therefore a more accurate reading. Hook up the sensor wire to the sensor <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" /> and run it to the sensor input on the gauge itself. The only other mandator wires are the power & ground for the guage. Not sure what brand you got, but my Autometer gauges came with instructions that were good enough to follow...
