Headliner Q.
Headliner Q. So i've got a drooping headliner in my Camaro and i've decided to just replace the cloth. I've got a buddy that has don it before. Wheres the best place to get it and how do i know what the exact color is? Do i need to do a vin search or anything crazy or is it pretty straight forward? My car is a black 1994 camaro coupe without T-tops.
Keep in mind your not limited to just headliner material, you can find nice material in a fabric store to recover it with ( I got a couple of odd looks). Tons of possibilities.
To make recovering easiest, try to get fabric that stretches in 2 directions. I used microsuede and it looks better than stock in my opinion. You can cut and glue foam under the fabric in a flame pattern, chevy emblem, whatever. You can even ghost a similar logo or insignia on the fabric using a decal, stencil and a slightly different shade of fabric paint. Just trying to give you some ideas.
