Getting rid of gauge tint Hello everyone,
I recently did an LED swap for my gauge cluster and used all white bulbs, but they appear to shine blue. I pulled my headlight switch off and took it apart, and found a blue tint on the back of the piece. It looks like it is embossed into the decal itself.
Is there any way to get rid of this (I assume this tint is on the back of the HVAC, Radio, Instrument Panel, and ASR/FOG switches), or buy the overlays from someone who doesn't use this blue tint treatment?

I know of a few people on here that removed the film on the cluster. Others would have a Camaro (blue tint) and want red, so they'd get a Firebird piece (red tint). I'm sure someone can help ya out. But for example, if you wanted your HVAC to be red, you could always swap in a Firebird HVAC. Just a little tip

Unfortunately, I don't want red either. I want pure white. I want no film at all. I know for a fact the headlight switch panel peels off, and I contacted the Custolight company to see if they can make me some factory looking overlays, but without the blue **** on the back.
The real question is..... I have white face overlays on my dash..... is the whole instrument cluster one big sticker? If so, I can take off my white face gauges, cut out the stock looking stuff (and mark it so it is precise), and just put the white faces back... no blue film!
