Cool Shamwow versus the Absorber

I had to do a review/comparison of the two for a business class I'm taking and thought I would share the results with everyone. Read the whole article here:
http://mydumbrant.com/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=9

but in a nutshell, looks like shamwow won the contest

Interesting article, but I wouldn't (and won't) use either on my paint.

i find on my car the absorber is good right after i hose off the soap and the car is completely wet, and the shamwow is good at picking up all the leftovers

I bought the Shamwow and I hate using it on my freshly washed car. It leaves it streaky like I'm trying to dry it with a soaked towel. On the other hand an Absorber or real chamois always works good on drying the car. But just for reference the Shamwow does work better around the house on spills, washing dishes, and just household stuff. But for drying a car, no.

yea man i tell you what, that shamwow really does soak up stuff on the counter-top doesn't seem like it will last as long as my absorber. I think if i put my shamwow in the washing machine it will come out in shredded pieces

This variety has give me excellent results since '03.

My fear with using those items is they do not pull any dust or dirt particles away from the paint while wiping. This is how those random or circular scratches start.

Here is the result of using improper tool and techniques for just routine washing and drying:
