I'm one of the "only use US cotton" guys. However, it is nearly impossible to find white 100 percent cotton towels made in the US at this time. Nearly all of the towels that used to be made here are now made somewhere else where the quality may not be as good. I have a stock pile that I'm still using from several years ago so will probably have to make the switch at some point.

cotton is softer and doesn't attract as much stuff that will scratch paint unlike microfiber. Microfiber will pick up a peice of a dry leaf and before you know it you'll have scratched all your paint(light scratches)

Not all microfibers are create equal. I have tested hundreds of varieties from multiple companies located in Korea. Today we offer a number of specific types ranging from waffle weave for drying to compressed weave for glass cleaning. Check ours out at www.tropi-care.com. FREE SHIPPING on them all the time.
In particular quality microfiber polish removal and detail towels feature 1000s of tiny microfiber hooks which grab and hold wax or polish residue and light dust away from the surface to prevent inducing new scratches.
I used to 100% white cotton towels until summer 2003. Ever since then, it's only microfibers. Over time these varieties continue to evolve in quality and efficiency.
When it comes to washing your microfibers, they should never be washed with any fabrics that give off lint. NO dryer sheets or fabric softeners either.
Feel free to contact me with any questions.

im torn between them myself. i have several quality MF, but also got a very high quality terry. the terry does a better job of taking off whatever wax/polish you use, and is more sturdy then MF. i was told by a rep from meguiars that he uses terry now, after years of MF. i bought a terry from him, which was cheaper then the MFs he had. its not made in the US, but was the best he found, after looking everywhere.

I just tried them both with Menzerna polish and Zaino. I had to cut the lips off of the towels as reccomended and this caused lots of dusty cotton so it was a pain between each step before applying next coat. I then turned the towels so the lip was inside and it did better but I finally tried the microfiber towels and i loved them. They left no dust or streaks and coats were flawless. The microfiber were better as I tried them both same day, same humidity ect.
