How to remove wiper arms???

How to remove wiper arms??? How do you remove the windshield wiper arms (not blades) from these cars? I took the nut off but it feels like it is pressed on. Anyone had to do this? Thanks for any pointers.
Re: How to remove wiper arms??? Yes they are pressed on. The shaft it slides on is tapered out after the threaded area. I used a small 2 jaw puller to remove them. You could risk trying to pry with a screwdriver but too close to the windshield for me.

Yea, the screw driver idea didn`t work, and the reason I`m trying to remove them is because I raised the hood with the wiper arms tilted up and it pushed the driver side into the shield and broke it. (The windshield) I know, I`m an ***! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Embarrassed]" src="gr_emb.gif" /> I`m trying to do the prep work for the windshield repair guy because I don`t trust them with my baby and might scratch her. Thanks for the help.

Re: How to remove wiper arms??? I have remoeved one of mine of my 02...Take a think flat blade screw driver and turn it one way or another and it will pop right off. The best way i found out how to do it is get on the side of the car that whatever arm u want to take off. Then put the screw driver blade facing you but on the opposite side of the arm and twist.
