Default carpet in trunk question

Ok, the carpet right behind the rear seat of my camaro like not down in the bottom of the trunk but the large rectangular area right behind the rear seat is all ugly and falling apart from the sun. Anybody ever have this problem or have any ideas of a decent looking fix without replacing the entire carpet? It looks like hell...

You can can cut the section out, I would do it from where the rear seat sits, and glue in some Ozite carpet. The seam will show but the rear seat would be put back and you would never notice it. You can cut to length, its easy and glue it in. You also can have it run down into the trunk to make sure it looks seamless.

Google for Ozite.

The only other option would be to replace it with a whole peice of carpet of find a good, clean, used peice from a car part out.
