Default What is involved in running draglites and skinnies?

I’d like to run like a 16X8 draglite and a front runner. How much grinding am I looking at? And what type of spacers are needed up front? Also, where to buy the wheels at? And what type of tire are you guys running up front?

Any info about anyone’s setups with these wheels is welcome, thanks

A good amount of grinding...I would just run the 15" rims, they weigh less, I think the spacers in the front are 7/16's or something close to that, not too sure though PSJ told me a while back, but I forgot..

I would go 15, but I have a line on a good deal for a 16" tire is all.

Do they even make a 16x3.5 wheel? You can probably fine a 16x5.

Centerline Convo Pros dont require grinding or spacers, just as Trevor

What do Convo Pros look like? 15” up front is fine. I would want to match design all around though (meaning if I get draglites out back I want them up front).

What type of tire wound be recommended for a 16X5? Or a 15X3 type of size?

I am totally open to tire and wheel sizes up front. The only thing that I know I want is like a 16X8 or 15X8 out back (16 preferred)...

These are 15s, I dont know if they make 16s. The fit is perfect though.

Wow! I like that setup Where did he order them from? And can I get a 15X8 out back that will fit right? I'm guessing I'd need a different back spacing for the 8" obviously...

No clue, you'll have to email him about them or page him or something, he's a mod in External Engine. Might have gotten them from Summit or Jegs

Over the years, I have run the following in back...

16x8 Draglite XP no spacer and heavy
16x9 Draglite XP no spacer and heavy
15x8 Pro Star, lite, grinding necessary even with spacer
15x10 Pro Star, lite, grinding necessary even with spacer and big tires may rub inside fenderwell

In front I run 15x3.5 with 5/16 spacer and no grinding. I do not run a spacer in back with my 15's but it's a lot of grinding.

And where did you get the 5/16” spacer from? And was that for a draglite front wheel?
