Tachometer?

Tachometer? I just got done with my head and cam install and the stock tach just will not keep up. I was wondering which tach you guys where running and where you mounted them (pictures would be helpfull). Also do any of them have a red light so they match the TA lights.

Re: Tachometer? I am running a 5" Autometer Sport Comp tach with shift light. It has a silver face with a yellow/white backlight. The shiftlight comes with a yellow lens but you can change with different lens covers. I moutned mine on the plastic that surrounds the gauges, nearest the center a/c vents. I don't have any pics of it fromt he inside but will get some soon.

All you really need is a shiftlight if you don't want the big *** tach in your view. But I like to see my rpms. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />
I would also like to know if you can change the gauge backlight to red.

FWIW, BIGBOS and Pro Stock John both have theirs in a mounted similarly ( I mimicked PSJ's setup ). And they both have pics somewhere on the web, maybe the will chime in here...

Re: Tachometer? Thanks that pic gave me a fair idea on where to look at mounting. I am going to give Auometer a call and see if they can change the backlight to red for me. I would love to see more pics of everyone elses also. I really hate the stock tach it is so slow.
