Default How to Drill ABS Plastic

Quick question. I need to drill into a blank piece of ABS plastic (think gauge pod material). What is the proper way to do so? Hole needs to be about a inch in diameter. I have a drill and dremel. Thanks

I'd spend the $10 and get a 1" hole-saw.

You know what else? I have some accessories for my dremel that i would recommend, i have the work station and i have the circle cutter/straight edge guide. If this was anything bigger than a 1" hole. i would have recomended this from the beginning but i highly recommend them! They are awesome! I also recommend the multipurpose cutter kit.

The mini saw looks badass too, but i cant figure out what i would use it for! IM going to have to buy it just to f*** with it! All of these can be found on ebay for around $10-$20

wow those are pretty cool. I'm going to look through my dremel catalog and see what they got at the hardware store before I purchase anything. I think I can get away with a smaller hole which is why i'd rather use the dremel. My drill is powerful as hell and I don't want to crack my plastic. Thanks for that, that's great info!

No problem, you can also spray the plastic with water out of like a spray bottle to keep it from getting hot and warping and i dont think it would crack

for plastic i use a high speed drill, drill a small pilot hole first, and then go to the size i need. apply a medium amount of pressure and you should be all set.
