Detailing Question
Detailing Question What do you guys do with the rubber weather striping along the bottom outside of the driver side and passenger side windows. Mine is DULL, and has weird spots all over it. I think the manual says to use some kind of lube on them, but wanted to talk to you folks about it first.

Re: Detailing Question Black Magic "Total Shine" I found it at Wal Mart. It is a product that is supposed to work on ALL surfaces. I use it on the rubber and palstic trim the touches glass or paint. Works great.

I hear it breaks down the rubber quickly...Any truth to that? If I can use something like "black magic" on them, that would make it easy. Re: Detailing Question I don't like using any type of tire shine/trim shine near the paint o glass because it smears and runs when it gets wet. This stuff, doesn't smear, and is safe to use on paint (not that I use it on the paint). It isn't greasy and looks good. Gets the accidental wax off the hard texturised plastic too.
