I audit signs and they now use LED's in alot of applications. My contact told me that you can wire in these LED's the way they are and splice them into your oriignal harneses, thats it. You have to make your pattern of course as to how the lights are displayed. I may look into this for my 87 TA.

From doing some searching the EFL1 is supposed to be a drop-in electronic flasher replacement, LED compatible. I have not tested this, I do not know for sure, but that's the info I've gathered.
Sparky your right about needing at least one regular bulb. That is for the resistance needed to pop the flasher on and off. as previously stated leds do not have enough resistance to do this. There are alot of misconceptions about the flashers. You will need NO LOAD flashers. Spend you hard earned money on Superbright leds. You will get what you pay for plus great service.

So I successfully installed LEDs in my car... heres what i found out...

1-dont buy cheap asian SMD 3157 leds for the rear,, they dont fit too well had to modify my sockets. Not that much of a difference in brightness when they blink and I wasn't impressed with the light output,,, so ill be soon replacing them.

2-I bought the cheap "4 led" 194 from china on ebay and they are great!!!,, very close to the expensive ones I already owned, also super fast shipping I was stunned. Stuck some blue and white ones in the gauges, and blue side markers with clear lens and I like them alot.

3-Used a LED flasher that i picked up at a local truck parts store... its made by "Grote" part # 44891 (its a square, 2 prong, also with a ground wire sticking out you need to wire up) http://www.grote.com/product.php?pro...891&mode=print

Jeez!! I thought I was going to do a simple search and find a simple answer but this is more confusing than I thought it would be!

So I'm planning on doing the DRL LED's. Where's the best place to buy the LED's and which flasher should I purchase?

I was only going to hook up the DRL's; at least for now. So would those flashers still work for LED's up front?

So don't skimp out on LED's is what I'm reading. Where is the best place to purchase LED's; Superbrightleds or somewhere else? Thanks!

I also need help with finding a flasher that works well. The one that was listed by bird has a lot of negative reviews. Preferably, I'd like a flasher that has an adjustable open and closed, but I might be asking too much.

Does anyone know if the "FL2 Red" from superbrightleds.com would work for leds in the drls and stock rear turn signals? i've tried the tridon EL12 and a different flasher (cant remember the brand) but only the rear turn signals flashed.

Old Thread I know but the no load flasher should fix theturn signal problem the EL12 flasher has correct? If So Im ordering this:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/LED-No-Load-...c8363d&vxp=mtr
Would I need 2 flashers? 1 for the turn signals and the other for the hazards?

Lol I dont care about the sound as long as all my tun signals work lol.
So a no load flasher will work for my turn signals. So what flasher would I need for my hazards since they will be all LEDs?

From the info I gather the no load flasher will solve the problem of blinking with all LEDs as turn signals.
Now what type of flasher unit would I need for the hazards and what other bulbs are in that circuit?
I have LED marker lights, front turn signals, reverse lights, light over the rear seat, glove box, gear indicator, HVAC, license plate, courtesy lights, and guage cluster. I think thats all.

Get no-loads for both, but for me, no clicking was a no-go. Having the audio cue that your turn signals are on is nice to have so you don't go driving down the road with it on and not realize it.

What, you ignore flashing lights on your dash?
