Default Anyone ever replace their dash bulbs with different color?

I want to find a different color dash bulbs. I'm looking for bright blue or something whiter like xenon looking. The problem is...

...I'm holding the back of the cluster in my hand. There are 5 bulbs for warning gages for autos and 6 if you have a manual. There are 5 bulbs for the tach and 6 for the speedo. One bulbs' light from the speedo is channeled to the oil gauge. More misc channels are set up for a few bulbs. Total 20 bulbs for auto, 21 for manual. I seem to be missing 1 by the engine temp, although I never noticed in the dark so it's probably not needed. It turns out I need 20 bulbs. You can't use the ones from Autozone, Pepboys because you need to buy the whole bulb assemblies, not just bulbs. I tried taking out the bulbs themselves, but no go. It even says on the assemblies, replace entire assembly. Bulb is #161. So I need 20 assemblies with bulbs 161 in them.
This kinda makes it hard to find colored replacement ones.

Anyone have any idea where I can find different color replacements?

I put blue Sylvanias from Autozone in my car last winter. They were too dark so I put the clear back in. The warning lights should all be LEDs. I counted 5-6 bulbs for the gauges. 2 more if you replace the turn signal bulbs. The temp and oil gauges share a bulb and so do the voltage and gas gauges. That leaves 3-4 more for the tach and speedometer.

So you're having trouble getting the bulbs out of the sockets that screw into the back? I had that on a few bulbs so I took a paper towel and a set of pliers and GENTLY pulled them out with that.

I replaced the 6 bulbs with red last month, but they looked pink. I didnt like that so I took them out. The bulbs I used were 194. Did you take the black cover off the back of the cluster? I don't think thats what needs to be done if you did. Just replace the 194's. If you cant find any good colors try EBAY I always see plenty for sale. Go to lighting then type 194.

I forgot to mention. My car is a 96 camaro. You guys probably have different bulb setup, being that you guys have so much more info on the dash. So it's just simple bulbs for you guys? I'm jealous.

Actually what I was going for it the same color that the 98+ camaros have. It's much more white then mine. Mine is like yellowish a little. You guys have a nice clear white.

I will try to take a picture of this, but the situation is this. There are a little black things attatched to the bottom of the bulbs that come out of the dash when you pull the bulb out. I have the bulbs out, but they have these black things attatched to them. On that little black thing it says "replace entire assembly." I tried taking the bulb out, but it seems to be glued in there or something.
