Hello about 2 months ago I painted the stepside plates to match on my Silverado pickup. The right one is ok, but the left one is right below the gas filler, and lately I have been getting drips of gas on it when taking the nozzle out. It stains it and today I went to wipe some gas off and some paint smeared off. The way I painted it was scuff it, plastic primer called bond aid, then several light coats of duplicolor truck and van paint, then duplicolor clear coat. I was wondering if I am doing anything wrong and if there is a spray can clear coat that will seal out gasoline? Thanks for your replies...

HMMMMM. Anyone?? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" /> I know a lot of apints can't hold up to severe chamicals like Carb Cleaner and Brake Cleaner, but I would have thought that gas would not eat the paint!
