After I wash my car I go for a "dry-ride". That consists of getting on the highway and going around 80mph for a couple miles, go home and wash off the dirt on the rear bumper then use quick detailer with a microfiber.

The only thing that method does is leaves streaks.

that's why you wash the car before you use it.

It actually works really really well. I would recommend it and I don't usually recommend stuff.

I guess you skipped right over the part that says "then use quick detailer with a microfiber"

I've used a California blade too, and they do work well.

I've been doin the exact same thing, it works pretty well, and the "drying cycle" is always more fun than using a chamois.

I got scam wows last year for X-mas. Kindof a gag gift. They sux, dont absorb ****. They are really soft however, and I used one to finish up polising the wheels on my trailblazer once.

Now alls there used for is cleaning up party fouls and dog messes.

Its really not that bad actually.. just wipe run your fingers across the blade once or twice as your drying the car to make sure and also help get the extra water off of the blade.

if you just washed the car there shouldnt be much in terms of dirt left on the car to really scratch it

Just sayin'

maybe a 'drying ride' might work with a white car, but i dare you to do that with black car. all youll do is pick up every bit of road dirt and grit, and completely kill the point of washing it on the first place.

i used to use a tropi-care waffle towel, but i was really not happy with it. it absorbed great for the very first pass.....then no matter how much i wringed it out, all it did was smear the water around, leaving streaks and marks like you wouldnt believe. i even emailed steve and asked him if im doing something wrong with it. he said thats whats supposed to happen....and to follow up with a quick detailer. well maybe thats how it works, but i dont want to HAVE to detail it every single time i wash her. sometimes i just need a quick wash and thats it. i got very tired of having to wax after every single wash. i then bought the absorber from amazon, and havent looked back since.

i used it last weekend after a track day, and was amazed at the clean, clear, totally streak free finish i had. i didnt need a single spray of detailer. i used natural chamios for years, and they worked very well, but the absorber now gets my vote.
