Unmounted plate frame???

Unmounted plate frame??? Ohio is a front plate state and I'll be damned if I'm going to remove my bird. I'm trying to find some kind of frame to wrap my plate so I can put it in my car / front window without scraping everything to hell. Has anyone seen such a thing, know where to look or, have a good idea of what to wrap it with? Thanks!

I would cut some of the plastic guards like with binders/what you use on bird cages to cover exposed cut wires looks kind of like a plastic edging if that makes sense? I would put that on all four sides of the plate, or cut some black ducttape to size and "frame" the plate in that.
Texas is a front plate state also. Legally, putting the plate in the dash doesn't count. But I have one in mine, and I've not had a front plate for 5 years and never got pulled over for it. Usually they will only pull you over if they are just trying to get you pulled over for something else.
Hide-Away Plate. VA is a front plate state as well but I don't run mine. If I ever had to I would do this idea though. I got pulled over for my tint last month and he asked where my plate was and I pulled it out of the back seat and he was fine with it. Good luck with what ever you decide to do.
