I currently have the engine out of the car and most of the acessories and a new 2.5" cowl hood... I need to replace the front bumper cover and I was also going to get an SS spoiler.

My car is white and I was thinking of changing it to a differnt color scheme.

Would this be the best time to get the car painted without the engine in the car and try to make it look like an original paint scheme.

Absolutely. There is now way you could have the engine compartment painted NICELY to mathc the exterior of the car with the engine and wiring harnesses in there. IMHO, now would be the best time, or live with a white engine compartment.
