where can I get a polished alternator?

where can I get a polished alternator? I am looking for someone to polish my alternator or some place where I can buy one. I was going to do this myself but when taking the alternator apart the windings are crimped/soldered and I am not able to remove it from teh case. BTW this is for an 02 Vette.
