i have orange 35th ss stripes on my black car and i want to remove the stripes for a cleaner look. is there any way that i can do it? am i gonna have to take it to the shop that put them on or to a body shop? i'm guessing its gonna require repainting the hood and bumper. thanks in advance - jason

use heat, then some goo gone or whatever to remove the adhesive. and take your time. shouldn't require any painting, maybe some buffing though. check out youtube there are tons of videos

heat bug and tar remover (put the bug and tar remover on at the car wash) scrape all remaining glue with bondo scrapers wash it ALL off and then you can polish out any imperfections ive used this method several times on several things

or i used to work for norton ,the largest auto refinishing supplier in the world, and they make these lil soft rubber wheels called adhesive removing wheels that you put on the end of a drill and spin the glue off with it and all you hafta do after is wipe it clean if thats more up your ally, you would more than likely hafta order one of these though idk anywhere that just carries them in stock and it would be easier and faster the other way
