Camaro to T/A ? i was just at the gas station and saw a beautiful ls1 T/A..i thought i went and talked to the guy and he said actually its a 95 z28, i guess he woke up one day and decided he wanted a T/A, anyone done this?

The rear QPs are different on the TA...so either you didnt look close or he spent WAY MORE money on it than he could have just bought a LS1 TA with to start with.

I think OP either didn't hear the guy right, the guy was being a dick (or was just plain stupid), or the OP didn't know what he was looking at... The doors, rocker panels, and rear quarter panel and back face are completely different between TA and Camaro. In theory the guy could have "rebodied" it by welding on the entire back half of a TA, changing the doors out, changing the entire front clip, and replacing the rocker panels. But why? Not only would it take excessive amounts of time and money, but it would also be unsafe as hell. Think of that one Pimp My Ride episode where the kid was driving around one car that was actually two cars welded together in the middle. I have really only seen one Transmaro that was pulled off well enough to be described as "beautiful" (by some people) and as far as I know its somewhere in the southern US and is a black matte/satin finish. TA front clip with a Camaro rear.
