1960 Red Corvette detailed This car is probably one of my absolute favorites that I've worked on. On a previous trip out, all the swirls were removed and the car looked great. This time around though we decided to try and get a lot more gloss out of the paint. Previous owner had it repainted sometime in the 1980's, so there were a few limitations to what could be done with it. However, the car finished up beautifully again with no swirls, only a few RIDS, and a fantastic gloss.
Process:
-Foamgun with Zaino Z7
-Megs APC 3:1 wheels
-Clayed with Zaino Z18
-rewashed with Zaino Z7
-Menzerna Nano on white LC
-Menzerna Nano on black LC *worked for a long time*
-IPA wipedown
-ZAIO on Chrome
-Z5pro w/ZFX
-Z2pro
-Z6 wipedown
-Z16 on tires
It was overcast most of the day unfortunately but the reflections are great on overcast days

I didn't care much for the first gen/older vettes until I went to a recent car show and saw one that was REALLY well done.... When they look good, they look really really good...
