Default Problem with HIDS on sonar projectors?

I just installed these hids in the projectors about a couple weeks ago. However i have been real busy and haven't had time to really look at them. Anyway when i went to Aim them against a wall. For some reason the driver side has a nice cutoff with that tiny yellow line right above the cutoff. The passengerside however has a big yellow egg right where the cutoff starts and the beam is crooked instead of straight across. Im going to try to get a picture. Does this mean the bulb isn't seated right? I mean its an h1 bulb and it only goes in one way. Anyone else have this problem?

Thanks
Mike

Double & triple check that the bulb is seated and secured correctly. A small misalignment can cause output issues. If its definitely sitting correctly, compare the bulbs. Its possible that the seat/base is slightly bent or malformed. Also, swap bulbs. Does the issue follow the bulb or stay with the housing? If it stays with the housing, compare the housings where the bulbs sit. Maybe something is bent or malformed.

that's what happens when you pit a HID bulb in a projector that's meant for halogens

If the bulbs are not seated properly, they can produce a bad cut-off.

Depends on the projector. Some halogen projectors handle HID very well. MX5 H7 and Valeo H7 projectors are two that come to mind. Some newer H11/H9 projectors in some Toyotas and Acuras also handle HID very well.

I've seen some mixed results with these H1 Sonars. Usually they seem better than the earlier H3 fog projectors that those ebay companies were putting out, but sometimes they have an odd flare above the cut-off.

"HID bulb not allowed"
Technically, "HID bulb not allowed" applies to every Halogen housing.

My point was that the sticker was only there as a "cover their a$$" measure only. Like I mentioned before, some Halogen projectors handle HID well, some don't. Many prepackaged ones will have that sticker though regardless of whether or not they can handle HID well or not.
