2000 trans am door emblem
I heated them up with a blowdryer, and sprayed some wd-40 while I was pulling them off to cut thru the glue. I didn't have a heat gun, I would be careful if you used one though. wasn't too bad. I pulled them cause I don't like emblems.
i used a long piece of fishing string, wrapped it around both of my hands and used a sawing motin behind the emblems to break the glue loose... then i used my fingers to remove as much of the glue as possible then used wd40 and elbow grease to get the rest off... when i was done i waxed it and you can't tell anything was ever there... i chose to leave mine off

yeah i think the guitar string could definitely scratch the paint... i tried to just peel them off but they were glued on pretty good and felt like they would snap so i just used the fishing string and elbow grease... worked just fine for me
