Default SCC hoods

The Ultra Z hood that they carry has the mod to change intake to the C5 filter and in the same style as the prior SS. (on top) Has anyone used this do we know if its worth a damn? I love the Ultra Z idea and I've seen one featured on TV on a Silver Camaro that had heat extractors. Is SCC the only one that makes this style with the 2 reverse hood scoops? I like the idea of having dedicated air to the airbox but being able to cool surrounding bay. On the flipside doesnt SCC have MAJOR probs laying fiberglass? I need HELP!!!!

I believe the manufacturer is Mecham.

I have been very happy with the hood though. I noticed a big difference at speed with the top open filter on my 98 Z. But the heat extractors are cool too. You might just be right about that, their site is a bit lacking on pics for such prices. I thought it was dual extractors stretched or a crescent shape in the rear of the hood. I would love to see the underside to see if it like the direct ram of the Ultra Z. Thanks for the great site though.
