hey man i just used some art foam that i got in a section here at walmart, used a compass to trace a 4'' circle and cut out 6 of them from the foam sheets then used double sided tape and placed them 1.5'' apart on the taillights. then put about 10 coats of black gloss, krylon fusion spray paint on them, the fusion kind of paint bonds to plastic and requires no sanding or priming 
. then after that dried i used krylon crystal clear coat and once it dried i took the foam pads off. i have however stripped all the paint off because it just didn't look right to me and i accidentally put fingerprints in one of the tails by grabbing it before it was dry. i ended up not being able to get all the clear off the taillights so i had to buy new tails and just bought ventshades to cover the new ones. so now i have a pair of ugly clearcoated taillights just sitting in my garage now

Those are the taillights my car came with I was glad to put the lt1's on mine instead. Now just need to get them wired properly.
