I am able to get a new Dewalt DW847 for a good price but am uncertain if I should go ahead a get it. How difficult are these things to work with?I dont wanna f up my car.

i would not try one uless you know all about wax, polish, compounds, pads, and a game plan on how your gonna make it all work.
especially for dark color cars you can cause hologram buffer swirls or burn your paint!

Be very careful with a rotary. You can burn through the paint very fast and cause more problems than you had to start with. The Porter Cable is a great tool for polishing and removing most paint imperfections. Right now through Tropi-Care you get a quart of the Menzerna IP included!! Check the sponsor link>>>>>

Yea I have been more interested with the porter cable random orbit polisher but we cant readly get those. I think I will hold off on the dewalt for now and eventually get a porter cable just to be on the safe side .
