You get what you pay for. The cheap covers might scratch your car. I have the Stormweave from California Car Cover. It cost $180 about 4 years ago. Not sure what they cost now, but there are different types on their website. Mine stays in the garage but I bought that one just in case it was outside for some reason.

Quality covers will cost ya roughly 200 bux. I bought a cheap 20 buck one for one storage season and I thought the underside material was really abrasive. One day I'll buy one.

You can find them in the for sale section cheaper. I have one and like it. It's not the quality of some others, but the fit is perfect & I only use it in the garage anyway to keep dust off the SS.

I only bought it because it has the SS symbol on it.

I always wanted a custom fit RED car cover that fits like a glove so I broke down and ordered a new red custom fit Coverking car cover, in the mean time my car is covered with a California car cover (w/ the noah fabric) cover I bought about a year ago used, if you can wait a week or so my California car cover will be for sale, $100 shipped w/Paypal.
Here is the cover on my car now...PM to discuss.

I am also interested in this thread and have be to family friends houses where they have older hot rods. And, they have these tick tan weaved heavier looking car covers that are very nice quality and a soft and snug. I was told a while back by one of them that they ordered it from car toys. I believe it would be around 200 bucks or more from looking at it and feeling the material. Does anyone makes these types of covers for 93-02 f-bodies? Cause I have three cars and dont want them uncovered anymore in the garage.

I bought one of those cheap $40 covers from AutoZone because I just wanted something to keep pollen and dust off of my car. The cover said it kept all of that stuff off and rain too, so I thought it would at least be okay.

It didn't cover ****. You could spit on it and the car would get wet. My brother ordered one from Cars Cover for like $120 that was made to fit the car and works great. I'll be ordering mine from them too.

I was going to buy a used cover for $20 from someone on craigslist. She told me it wasn't water proof. Wtf, why make a car cover that's not water proof? I've also been told that covers can/will create swirls on your cars paint and light scratches. I've heard they are more hassle than they are worth. Mostly if your car is a DD or frequent driver.

I have a cheap one and have had no problems with it. The key is not letting any car cover get dirty. For example letting it hit the floor.

There are no car covers that are water proof all of them are just water resistant. If they were waterproof the cover wouldn't be able to breath and ruin the car paint.

Give Mike a call for an SLP cover at:

His price will save you at least one Jackson and 3 Lincolns.

SLP's covers aren't good for anything but keeping dust off the car while in the garage. They are not a soft, protective type cover at all.
They will scratch a car sitting outside with any little breeze, ..., trust me, I know, ...

The gold 10th Ann'y cover that came with my car is simply a cheap vinyl-like/type product. (Maybe vinyl isn't correct, ...) No soft liner at all. I had a silver in color 'Firehawk' cover a ocuple years ago that was the same material.
Do some of the other SLP covers have a soft liner?!?
