Removing emblem and glue?

I am removing the emblems from one of my cars and figure this is still relevant since there are still emblems on F-bodies.
I got the emblem off relatively easy using dental floss, but now I am wondering what is the best stuff to get the glue off the paint without hurting it too much?

oops , goo gone, lighter fluid. Any of those will work..

If it is a painted area you can use WD-40.
When done wash with soap and water and put some wax of your choice on.

I was thinking Goo Gone but I can't seem to find my bottle and was wondering if it would hurt paint. It good to have around so I'll go get some later. Thanks Guys
