How to dress up rotors? Pretty soon im going to paint my calipers (high gloss black on a black trans am, should look ok (?)) but i was wondering if there is anything you can do to clean up factory rotors? eventually I am going to replace them with some cross drilled eradispeeds or something along those lines but that wont be for awhile so anyone got any suggestions on how to dress up the rotors a bit?
Re: How to dress up rotors? about the only thing you CAN do is paint the hats.. maybe a gloss black or silver.. make sure you prep/clean the surface good and use a high temp paint..
You could also paint the edge (where the vanes are).. other than that i dont know..
they will still look sad next to a nice set of eradispeeds or cad plated KVR's <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

Re: How to dress up rotors? you can mask off the contact area and paint the rusted/weatherd center area and vanes with a high temp silver or aluminum color and it will look nice... but for al the trouble i would just get a brand new pair from autozone for $40 each.

The autozone option sounds good as a hold over till the eradispeeds (or KVRs) but I may still give them a paint job even till then..
The brakes are completely stock with about 19,000 miles on them (2000 TA)

Re: How to dress up rotors? Por15 makes a high temp coating in grey.
I used it on my 70 Road Runner on the headers
and break drums 2 years and it still looks great.
