Default Need your help and some explaining to the BS of wheels

I need your help. I recently sold a set of Centerline 15x3.5 Auto Drags. I test fitted them a while ago and don't recall any problems. The buyer just got back to me stating that the wheels hit the calipers(I guess) with the 5/16 spacers. I looked up the C/L BS and the 3.5 has a 1.625 BS. So it sits further away from the hub than the Draglites with 1.75 BS right? The buyer said he tried 2 spacers that were around 7/16" and they still hit.

Now my questions, Does this add up? I thought wheel spacers effectively reduce BS. Is there anyone running the 15x3.5 Auto Drag Centerline's? And how to get these wheels to fit without grinding?

I know that the Centerlines are supposed to fit without grinding, and yes, a smaller BS# would set the wheel out from the hub further. My Weld Draglites had 1 7/8 BS and cleared with no grinding and with a 5/16 spacer.....

15x4" convo pro's have 1.75" BS and do not hit at all. NO spacers.

Which rim sits closer to the hub- 15x4 with 1.75bs or a 15x3.5 with a 1.625bs? It seems to me that spacers would correct this problem <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" />

you would think. BS is basically the amount of space from the hub to the edge of the rim (inside edge). The convo has 1.75" from there to there so you would THINK that the smaller BS would fit even better, right? if not..the spacer should definately make it fit. what brakes does this guy have?
