Thinking of changing up the look of my car..
Current vs After:
Mods include
- 18' OE Wheels instead of the traction-deficit 19's that I have.
- Small cowl induction hood with the sides striped in black
- spray tinted turn signals and tails..
Just toying around in paint and I like it... just looking for opinions...
{edit} ... yeah, I got my free pizzas!

I think that your edit looks pretty sweet man. The black accents complete the Orange very nicely. But instead of those OE wheels you should look at the 09 ZR1s on 6le's site. They look pretty sick in hyper black.

Your edit looks much better! Rims and everything, I would really black out the lights though, not just tint them, whistler mod your headlights, and get the sunoco hood from VFN and put the stripes on that.

Actually, now that I read what you said again, I don't really like any of the ideas. I think tinting the turn signals and tails is pretty lame personally, especially since 4th gens are getting older and older now.
Make the car look like it should have looked from the factory. Not like you ghetto'ed it up. Most 4th gens (not on ls1tech, but I'm talking about in the entire US) are currently beat up looking, or modified in ghetto ways.
Having a modified looking 4th gen is now more common than having a stock looking one. The stock looking ones stand out in a crowd much better now.
What I'd do is put a set of white wheels on it and call it done.

Yeah, everyone does the black look because it looks so good. And blacking out lights doesn't "ghetto up" your whip dawg. If you wanna ghetto up your car, throw 20 inch chrome rims on. Blacking it out makes it look clean and much newer.
but hey, its your car, do what you like.

I like them, but the small sidewall is starting to get to me...plus I can't hook. It has a lot to do with the tires I'm sure, but without much sidewall flex they just let go even when I'm ~75% throttle rollin along at about 30. Since I'm about to go heads/cam...well you get the point.

"The stock looking ones stand out in a crowd much better now." uhh...you sure about that? gun4hire has many more appearance mods than any of us at the meet and his car stood out the most. as for the rims-that color is badass with the orange but maybe get them in 18s? +1 for tinting the signals (maybe even clear corners up front) and tails. and i say an SS hood with your same stripe scheme.

black wheels, smoked lenses, and cowl hood... i think is all fine and dandy. a good look and definitely different. dont stripe the new hood tho and stick a SLP grill in there instead of the billet. it'll look like a whole new beast

no offense to anyone because on a few cars black rims do look nice but most of the time when i see black rims on a sports car it always seems like its a teenage punk who wants his car to seem fast IMO. the gunmetal or whatever color rims are on there make it seem more exotic and unique
