need advice on paint warranty work I need some advice.I have an 02z,silver and the driver side door doesn't match the rest of the car.My dealer(jerry Gleason chevy)in Chicago offer to repaint the whole left side of the car under warranty.
Or,I can take to Pat's Hi-Tech body shop in Chicago and they gave an estimate of $510 to repaint the door and do blending to the 2 left fenders and said I wouldn't be able to tell the car has been painted and guarentee it to match with a lifetime warranty.
Does anyone have any experence or suggestion as what I should do?

Re: need advice on paint warranty work The only Dealership that I would trust to paint a car would be Berger Chevrolet in Grand Rapids, MI.
But I am **** on the appearance of my car.
Have you seen any of the work the Dealership has done?? If so was it acceptable to you??
For the price you have been quoted, and you trust the body shop, I would personnally eat the cost and have it done by the body shop. If I EVER need anything painted on either of my SS's I'm taking them to Royal Coach it Bartlett. PERIOD, warrantee or not.
