Default Seven Detailed - 2001 Jetta from Hell.

So if you read my first thread about the EVO I did with another detailer (Oakes if you know who the man is), this is the Jetta I was alluding to. Here goes...

So, this may be a great example to explain a "Paint Corrective" detail to those who wonder what it exactly means...

This 2001 Jetta came as a daily driven, automatic car wash queen and you can clearly see the effects of that combo with it's age. The paint was almost deemed hopeless, and the original quest for the job was to bring back the gloss in the paint, miracles weren't expected here on the owner's part. However, I love to take on a project and see what I can do, and I can honestly say that while it could have come out better with more time and such, it came out better than I was expecting as well. I will let the pics do the talking this time!

Process:
Menzerna PowerGloss - Yellow
Menzerna PowerFinish - Orange
Menzerna SuperFinish - Green
Blackfire Wet Diamond - Blue
Collinite's No. 845

These photos show the damage I was against after the wash, clay, rewash....quite a few of the defects/scratches were just too deep and while I was able to make them better, they still remained.

Logo on the trunk, the actual lettering wore off, this was the base/adhesive just baked into the paint. The first shot is before removing it and polishing the trunk.

This time, I took quite a few more 50/50 shots, and what a difference you can see I'll let the photos do the talking...

A few paint photos under the spotlight after correction, like stated before, some deep defects still remained but quite a bit of them gone as you can see

Reflection Photos

Overall shots of the car, it was dark and the vehicle was leaving shortly, so no fancy outside photos this time.

Thank you for looking, Please comment!

You do amazing work. That car looked hopeless!

Out of pure curiosity, how much do you charge for that?

it was actually done in one day... with two people working.
If I or Oakes were doing it by ourself, it'd be a 2 day job pretty easily.
