I already went through all of that... some people might tell you that if you put a higher wattage bulb it might burn the bulb housing... but they sell a Xenon colored bulb for 20 bucks that doesnt produce as much heat and yet makes your foglights look brighter... try looking at this website...

they sell a bulb called KMAX 893 Superwhite Bulbs that is 37.5w instead of the stock 27.5w... a dude called Leo sells them... you can find him at gameport@earthlink.net just email him and he'll give you all the details..
let me give you one piece of advice... it is extremely complicating to install the bulb on a Trans Am so I'd advise you to let the dealership install it for you... pay some dude a few extra bucks and i dont think he'll mind...
it took about 40 minutes to be installed so its not as simple as it seems... BUT its definetly worth it .. you wont really like it when its first put on .. but when you drive your car at night you'll definetly appreciate it...

Stock bulb #880 = 27.5 watt
Brighter bulb #885 = 50 watt
Hyper White #893 = 37.5 watt

Dont know about the Hyper White #893...but I can tell you from experience that the Brighter #885 (50 watt) will melt the lens and housing! I toasted the foglights on my 2000 T/A. Luckily I traded it before they had to be replaced!

No signs of damage to the lenses/housing??
what i think is that 10 watts is not a big jump... especially since they're xennon coated bulbs... the bulbs look blue-ish which i think cools the bulb down a bit and provides you with a whiter look...
and if your worried that it might give you a ricer look then dont... i have them on and they look fantastic...
