My son in law is 20 and he cant even check the air in his tires, he thinks imports w/coffee cans hanging on the back is cool...
his idea of an oil change is going to wal-mart
PS-Pic #4 is da bomb, a real calendar shot!

How did you get stopped and checked for the emissions stuff? Did they just suspect it and checked? Man that SUCKS!
I didnt even think about mentioning my run in with the law down in Daytona on my "re-cap" on the other board! I wish I had video of that!!! Between Cecilia and myself we have paid over $800 in fines this year! lol
What happened to you in Daytona?
Here is what happened:
Keep your eyes open: if you see something that looks like a 'ride program' near a local car hangout area, turn around ASAP. They are looking for any missing (or tampered with) emissions devices.
This praticular one was in Ottawa, on Maryvale road.
From another forum I post on:
"I finally got the chance to go out on Friday night and do a datalog with it in hopes to finish up my tune. I was on my way to a local hang-out spot. I came up to what looked like a 'ride program' (for drunk drivers). No problem, or so I thought. Until I saw two Ricers with their hoods up on the side of the road. By then it was too late to pull a U-turn.
I had a wideband cable out the window, cables-galore for HP tuners and the LM2, and an open laptop with VE tables etc. The police demanded I park behind the civic. The Ministry of the Environment had people out who tore car apart (figureatively). $365 for no EGR, and $110 for no front license plate. I got off easier than I should have.
If I'm caught with any emissions devices missing, I lose my license plates."

You should frame that ticket. I'm planning on doing it with mine.
Might as well make it artwork for the $500 I spent.
I appreciate it though. Some people tell me to change what's in there.. but it's not worth it imo.Now... time to go outside and beat the living **** outta my wheelwell.
