LT1 Camaro headlights?
I've seen a lot of well detailed LT1 Camaro's with shiny black headlight surrounds, have these been repainted to look like that or is it possible to polish them to look like that? I don't think that area has a clear coat does it? How do you make a single stage black look glossy?

I'm pretty sure they originally are suppose to be satin black not glossy. My SS doesn't have clear on it, if I try to "polish" it it gets a weird cloudy finish to it. Best bet would be to clean that area real good then clear it if your black is in good condition. VHT use to make a Gloss Black Polyurethane in a can that was really glossy, Good ****!

I want a satin finish, like the satin finish dudes use for their berger panels (which I'm still debating on...) but I want something that I can detail to keep looking good.
I definitely don't want high gloss black like a regular black car

The problem with the satin or flat is if you don't mask off the lights when you wax or polish it will mess up your finish and look cloudy. I don't know how that bumper black looks, I never used it. The other VHT stuff I used on a rollcage and rims and it lasted for years and never faded.
