Default "HOW TO" guide for wire relocation mod!

As you recall with the help of Rob (Poltergeist) we got rid of the ugly wire loom inside my engine compartment to make it look like this:

Well here is a basic guide on how we did it.. Its not fancy and its most likely has plenty of spelling errors but it should put you on the right track if you want to do this mod. Heck we did it and we didnt have ANY guide

http://216.112.25.134/poltergeist/F-...gerWireMod.htm

Thanks again to Rob for the help and for hosting the guide

Good Luck

Great write up and a very clean look but how about a little more snake skin to cover those wires in the wheel well. Nice job

That looks great! I'm gonna get started once I get the parts from Pep Boys.

What's the model bnumber or part number of the vacuum hose extension you used?

I thought it was a lot for horn and lights also until you really think about it. Parking, left turn, right turn, daytime running, head lights, high beams, fog. They start adding up.

wow, thats a really good idea. do you worry about voltage loss from the new wire, or anything stupid like that?

Now worries about voltage loss at all. First we used 16ga wire, up from the 18ga that is there. Second it's less then 2 feet of wire. Voltage loss is pretty much nil. It's not like it's wiring for a nuclear reactor. The wires control the lights and horn, plus in the case of a TCS car the TCS module up front. The only worries I had while doing it was mixing up wires and having Steve's horn go off when he turned on the lights. But we took our time made sure the 'extension' was connected to the right spot.
